"Relationships in Antarctica feel bigger, the highs are higher and the lows are lower."- Keri Nelson
This episode of Antarctica Did That For Me is all about L-O-V-E - or something like that.
We (your hosts Keri Nelson and Cassa Grant) share our stories of love, romance, and relationships in Antarctica, and why we think love on the ice is so special.
There are the challenges and intensity of relationships in such a unique environment and close-knit community. There’s the potential for both lasting love and heartbreak. And there can be first dates 30 feet under the ice.
When everyone has roommates and is living very close quarters, the logistics of love can get awkward, to say the least.
And breakups and unrequited love can be particularly difficult in Antarctica because of the close proximity and
limited options for social interaction.
Navigating relationships in Antarctica is not for the faint of heart, but then again, navigating them anywhere in the world isn’t, either.
